This week at Thomas Coram
What a lovely kindness week we have had at TC! This week we have been thinking about being kind and standing up against bullying. The children created kindness tags for one another and thought about what was positive about each other. It was lovely to hear the comments in assembly today. Mexico showed their class assembly today, and it was great to hear all their learning. Last week, the Prince girls took part in the Remembrance Parade, so well done girls for taking part in such an important event. Well done also, to Tabitha and Olive, for being selected for the Herts County Cricket Development Squad. Rosa and Emily also played fantastically at the Netball Festival that was held last weekend. A big well done to all the girls who took part in the Netball event last weekend.
Worship
On Monday, we did a whole school kindness virtual assembly, about ensuring we are kind to one another. On Wednesday, Father Stuart led worship on Peace. On Thursday, the children sung, Shake it off by Taylor Swift. Today we had our Mexico class assembly and our celebration assembly.
Odd Socks Day / Spotty Non - Uniform
I loved all the odd socks on Monday and spotty attire today! Thank you to everyone who has donated via our Just Giving page it is still open for donations. So far we have raised an amazing £466.80 well done TC!

Community Info
Rotary Shoe Box Appeal
Thomas Coram are supporting the Rotary Shoe Box appeal again this year. Originally started by Rotary Clubs in the North West of England, the scheme was set up in 1994. This year the scheme hit the land mark figure of distributing its one millionth shoebox! Each local Rotary Club buys the empty boxes, price £2, from our central supply. The boxes are then taken out to the participating schools where they are filled with small toys often second hand ones, also some small toiletries. The filled box is then returned to school, £2 may be attached to the box after it is filled to cover costs but this is BY NO MEANS ESSENTIAL. The boxes are then shipped by volunteers to orphanages in Rumania and Moldova. The boxes can be collected from the school office and need to be returned by Wednesday 13 December.
