Autumn Newsletter 

Equipment 

Please ensure your child has all equipment ready to learn: pencil, ruler, glue sticks, scissors and whiteboard pen. A reading book and named water bottle are also required daily.

Each class has PE twice per week. One of these lessons is taught by the class teacher and one is taught by Miss Minter our Sports Coach and Forest School Leader.

Your child needs to come into school in their PE kit on the days that their PE lessons take place. This is a red polo shirt, school jumper or cardigan and black shorts or joggers. For safety reasons, we ask that hair be tied up, earrings be removed (or covered with tape) and no hoodies be worn.

 

All Year 4 classes have PE on Tuesday and Thursday.

Each year 4 class takes part in a course of swimming lessons at The Knox Johnston Swimming Pool in Berkhamsted. Pupils will need swim wear, a towel and swim hat with optional goggles. Voluntary contribution for this can be made via Arbor. The swimming lesson is instead of their Tuesday PE lesson. Dates for each class can be found below:

We are extremely lucky to have our very own Forest School and Forest School Leader at Thomas Coram. These lessons are taught by Miss Minter.

As Forest School takes place in the morning, your child needs to come to school in their Forest School clothes (with a change of school uniform in their bag). Forest School clothes is an old jumper, joggers and pair of outdoor boots or wellies. Forest School takes place in all weathers, so it is important that they are equipped to be outside. Legs and arms must be covered so shorts and t-shirts are not allowed.

Forest School for Year 4, takes place on Mondays.

• On your computer, open Google Calendar
• On the left, next to "Other calendars" click 'Add' followed by 'From URL'.
• Click this button Copy to clipboard to copy the feed address to your clipboard and paste it into the 'URL of calendar' field
• Click 'Add calendar'. The calendar will appear on the left side under "Other calendars"

It might take up to 12 hours for changes to show in your Google Calendar.
