Resilient Riser of the Week: Charlie U, Brazil, for being amazing in long division and not giving up!
This week at Thomas Coram
I am sure you all heard about the amazing author TC had in on Tuesday. We were lucky enough to welcome Hannah Gold into TC, as she was promoting her latest book Turtle Moon. She was amazing and so inspiring to the children and we were all fascinated by her journey into becoming an author. I know I particularly enjoyed hearing about all of the countries she has visited and the animals she has seen that have inspired her stories. We are so fortunate to be able to offer these experiences to the children, so thank you to Mrs Munro for organising such a great afternoon. Just as a reminder, it is parents evening next week and I know we still have a number of parents who have not signed up for an appointment, please ensure you do as it is so vital to hear how your child is doing and any next steps they may have. We would also like to say a BIG THANK YOU to Mr Brown and Mr Gibbs who spent last weekend building an outdoor classroom for Forest School. It looks amazing! One final plea - Friends of TC sent out a sign up to the Asda Rewards app - please sign up! For every person who signs up, we receive £1 in donations. We are now up to £100, I would love to see it at least £350! You do not have to do anything, just download the app and add TC as your chosen school and then we will get a £1 donation! Come on team TC, let's see if we can get to £350 by half term!
Worship
On Monday, Rebecca came in to lead worship and we looked at the story of Moses. The children then thought about what other stories this could be similar to and how this relates to their own life. I was discussing this with Madagascar and was delighted to hear about all the times they have helped others, like Moses did. Today we had our celebration assembly and celebrated all our wonderful children.
Neurodiversity in Schools programme
The Herts Parent Carer Involvement team will be at Thomas Coram School on Thursday 24 October, from 9-10:30am for an informal coffee morning. We are clearly doing an excellent job with our provision as we only have one person sign up. Please do come along, share your views about what a great job we are doing. You can sign up  using the QR code on the poster.
