This week

This week, I embarked on a spiritual journey with the Diocese and attended the Head's conference to think about spirituality and what it means. I thought about what spirituality means to me and being in nature and looking out at beautiful sights really makes me calm and ready to tackle what is ahead. Spirituality is something we are going to be looking at across the school and asking the children to think deeply about and reflect upon. A F Steadman visited the school last year as one of our very popular author visits. She ran an activity with the children to come up with a potential name for a future unicorn character in her new book. Seth in Y6, suggested Silver Shadow which ended up getting the most votes. The latest book Skandar and the Spirit War has recently been released, and Seth was absolutely thrilled to discover a character named Silver Shadow in the story!  It was such an exciting surprise for him, and really special to know that Thomas Coram’s children helped contribute to the book. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Worship
On Monday, our fantastic Spiritual Ambassadors led our worship on Harvest and the importance of one small act of kindness. Thank you so much to everyone who donated. On Tuesday, the Sukkah arrived with Father Stuart and the children had a conversation with a local Rabbi about what the Sukkah is and the importance of it to Jewish people. Today, we celebrated our Values in Action and heard how the children have demonstrated them over the week.

Important Information

Lunch account arrears
The school is currently carrying over £1000 in school lunch arrears. I'm sure you will agree that this is a substantial amount of the money that the school cannot afford. Please make sure you regularly check and top up your child's lunch account. Thank you.  If you think you may be eligible for FSM then please make an application using this link.

Forrest School Donations
Miss Minter is making a mud kitchen for Forest School and would appreciate any old metal kitchen accessories you might have lying around. E.g baking trays, pots, pans, spoons, slices, roasting trays etc. Any donations can be brought to the school office. Thank you!
Harvest Festival
Thank you so much for all your donations Hope Food Bank picked them up today and were absolutely blown away by your generosity.
