This Week
I want to start with a huge thank you and well done to FOTC for the incredible Who Dun It last week! Over £1000 was raised so thank you to everyone who attended and donated! This week we had Boogie Bounce in and the children each took part in a short trampolining enrichment session. It was an amazing morning for all the children and thoroughly enjoyed - even by the staff who had a little bounce! I also heard some excellent writing from Year 5 this week, starting to create mythical creatures - well done Year 5! Just as a reminder to save the date, we will be having parents evening on Tuesday 20th October and Thursday 22nd October, I will be sending a letter out next week re booking appointments. Have a lovely weekend and I look forward to seeing everyone next week.
Worship
On Monday, Father Stuart led worship on Joseph and the Technicolour Coat and how he felt with the coat and how his siblings felt. The word jealousy was used and we discussed what the means Yesterday we looked at Picture News looking at the Bayeux Tapestry and its significance to History. Today we learnt all about Peru's first few weeks at school and their incredible PGL trip! Well done Peru.
DT
We are wanting to improve our Design and Technology offering across the school and ensure that the products the children design and make are of the best quality. In order to do this, we are asking for a small donation to help with the costs of this. We would be extremely grateful if you could give a small contribution towards this project. To make a donation, please head to trips on Arbor and click on DT donation. You can then add a voluntary contribution to suit your circumstances - suggested donation £5.00.

Who saw Traitors last night?? Reckon you can do better than Richard E Grant?

Our strictly adult-only Murder Mystery is coming to TC on Friday 6th November and promises to be the most amazing evening.

The aristocracy from the 1920s will host the dinner, Monsieur Frog and his Yr6 chefs will prepare a fabulous 3-course meal, and the entertainment will be the very best.

You’ll be welcomed with an elegant cocktail before the intrigue begins. Someone will not leave the room alive…your job is to interview the suspects and work out who the murderer is.

It’s going to be the event of the season…..⬇️

Community Information

In a world of screens, it’s important to find things that give children the chance to focus. St Peter's Choir provides the chance to develop teamwork and other skills. St Peter’s Church is inviting children in years 3 – 6 for a day of singing and fun. Over the course of the day, they will have the chance to learn some songs and find out about being a chorister at Berkhamsted’s parish church. The day will end with a short concert, in which they’ll appear alongside existing members of the choir. No previous experience is required, just a good singing voice and bags of enthusiasm!

Dens Sleepout

Take on a challenge with a real purpose. Give up your home comforts for one night and experience sleeping outside while raising vital funds for local people facing homelessness and hardship.
Gather your friends, family, colleagues, or community group and help support DENS' essential services, which provide preventative support, crisis intervention, and a pathway towards a brighter future for vulnerable people in our community.

Participants can look forward to:
😴 A secure, covered sleeping area
💛 A welcome pack and fundraising support
🎵 Live music, games, street food vendors and tasty treats
🎤 Inspiring stories about DENS' life-changing work
😋 A free breakfast to round off the experience
