How have you shown: Kindness, Resilience, Respect and Thankfulness this week?
This week at Thomas Coram
Wow what an incredibly hot week we have had this week! The children have coped remarkably well in such high temperatures and have shown true resilience. Yesterday we had Ollie Pike in to talk to the children about the different types of love and how important love is. As a school, we really want the children to understand love and understand how love can be different for all people but showing kindness and respect demonstrate that love and we should be trying to do that each and every day. I cannot believe we only have four weeks left until the summer holidays, time is moving so quickly. Next week, we will be sharing the new classes and teachers with the children and with parents which will be an exciting time to look forward to. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
Worship
On Monday, Father Stuart came in to discuss St Columba in worship and what a pilgrimage meant. On Tuesday we had our singing worship and today we had the wonderful class worship by Mexico. Well done all of Mexico.

Important Information

Dacorum Family Support
We have arranged for Jan Nethercoat from Darorum Family Support to come and speak to TC parents around the theme of anxiety and the impact that it has on pupils' attendance. Like many schools we are seeing an increase in the number of children who are unable to attend school completely or for whom attendance is a real barrier for them. This is open to all TC parents and advanced sign-up is not necessary. Please come in via the main school reception.

Date: Wednesday 25th June

Time: 2:30pm - 3:20pm

Author Visit - Nadia Finer Tuesday 1st July
We’re thrilled to share that author Nadia Finer will be visiting our school on Tuesday 1 July to talk about her book, Quiet Riot.
Quiet Riot challenges the idea that shyness is something to be "fixed" and instead celebrates the successes of softly spoken trailblazers—from athletes and writers to scientists and activists. Featuring 40 real-life stories, this book reassures children that they don’t need to change who they are to achieve great things—they just need to embrace their own quiet power.
During her visit, Nadia will speak to the children about what it feels like to be shy and how to overcome the fears that can sometimes hold us back. She will also be sharing powerful stories of shy superheroes—from Marcus Rashford and Taylor Swift to Lionel Messi and Beatrix Potter—proving that quiet voices can make a big impact.
 Order a Signed Copy! ✨
If you’d like to purchase a special hardback copy of Quiet Riot for your child, and have it signed by the author, please place your order by Monday 30 June using this link
