What is your ideal way to spend a Saturday

This Week
We have had a fairly quiet week this week at TC. I think it has thrown all of us, with it only being a four day week and we all have seemed to forget what day of the week it is! Yesterday, Mrs Forde and I went to all of the classes to look at English and Maths and it was great to hear the fantastic learning the children have been doing. I was particularly impressed with Year 4 and their English lessons where they are creating non-chronological reports about play and games. I was particularly interested to hear about the benefits of why we should all play games and intrigued to hear the toys and games from the past. I want to take this moment to congratulate all of our Year 6 pupils in reaching the weekend before SATs; you have all worked so hard this year and I am so incredibly proud of you. Remember it is just a test and it does not test your greatness - you are amazing no matter what the outcome! Try your hardest and be proud of all you have achieved this year! We look forward to next week with our Year 6 SATs breakfast and the party on Friday! I hope everyone has a restful weekend and please do keep our Year 6's in your prayers for next week.

Save the date - Smart Phone Free Talk and Q and A session

Mr Roberts, Assistant Head at Ashlyns, will be coming to TC on Tuesday 19th May, to do a workshop with Year 5 in the day alongside some Ashlyns students about smart phone useage. He will then come back to TC at 7pm, to do a parent workshop on children being smart phone free and the barriers and dangers smart phones entail. There will also be time for a Q and A during this session. The session will be around 60 - 90 minutes long. He has already done this in Bridgewater and Greenway and it was a big success, so I am hoping it will be useful to our parents and as many people as possible will attend. More info will follow.

Book Fair Monday 18th - Friday 22nd May
