Resilience quote of the week:  “The human capacity for burden is like bamboo- far more flexible than you’d ever believe at first glance.”
― Jodi Picoult
This week at Thomas Coram
What a term we have had, there have been some fairly low points since Christmas for some of the TC community, but also some incredibly high points. As I look out and see the joys of Spring and the sun shining, I know that next term will have far more positivity for us all. This week has shown that positivity with our phenomenal Matilda performance. The children were incredible and it made me so proud to lead such an incredible, confident and wonderful group of children. Thank you so much to the staff who organised and ran Production Club and also to those that helped run the bar and organise the children! As we draw a close to the Spring term, we unfortunately have to say some sad goodbyes to Mr Phelan and Ms McKenna, I want to take this opportunity to thank them for all their hard work at TC over the last few years and they will be sorely missed. We wish you the best of luck with your next endeavours. I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter break, spend time with families and friends and cherish your time together making memories. I look forward to seeing you all back on Tuesday 22nd April.

Important Information

PE/Forest School
There have been some changes to PE days and Forest School days. Please check your year group page here.
Eco Council
Thank you to everyone for participating in the Walk and Wheel week. The Eco Council logged a grand total of 1112 journeys across 5 days giving us a daily average of 64.47% of journeys walking or wheeling! Look out for more information coming soon about walk to school week in May.
Production Club
We want to say a huge thank you to everyone that has supported Team Matilda over the last few weeks and for all of the lovely emails we have received! We are so unbelievably proud of all of the children and it was wonderful to see them all so proud of what they achieved! We had some people asking how to make cashless donations so there is a link here. These donations help to cover the costs of putting the production on and enable The FOTC to raise some money to fund next years production! We hope everyone has a lovely Easter break and Production Club will be back on Tuesdays in Autumn Term!

Dacorum Family Services - Promoting healthy sleep for your child

ANDY GRIFFITHS AUTHOR VISIT – SIGNED BOOK OFFER

Straight after Easter, on Friday 25th April, we are being visited by the amazing Andy Griffiths, author of the Treehouse book series. He will be talking to the children about the Treehouse series and his new book The Land of Lost Things. Andy is visiting the UK for a few days from his home in Australia, so we are lucky to get some of his time.

He will be signing books for the children at the event.

IMPORTANT – Parents, you can order a copy from Our Bookshop- click links below...
