Which do you prefer Summer or winter?

This Week
We have had a great first week back. Yesterday we had Segun in to do a drama show with the children in the afternoon. He will be doing a drama club after Easter and more info will follow regarding it in the next few weeks. Our JFOTC met at lunch today to get planning for their first fundraiser! I am sure it is going to be an excellent event and the FOTC will share more info in the coming weeks. Archie from Mexico and his mum, have signed up for walking/running 26 miles in 26 days in March to raise money for Young Epilepsy. If you would like to help by sponsoring Archie and his mum they have a Just giving page. Good luck with your challenge! As you may be aware there have been increased numbers of measles cases across the country. For further information and symptoms please visit the NHS Page. Finally, good luck to everyone doing the Fun Run or Half Marathon this Sunday! I look forward to hearing on Monday whether you prefer Summer or Winter - I am definitely a Summer!! Have a great weekend.

Worship
On Monday, Father Stuart came in and spoke to the children about temptation and Lent. We spoke about how we are quite often tempted by things, but we need to be strong and resist those temptations. Today we had our oracy assembly and everyone performed a piece with such confidence, well done Team TC!

 Important Information

World Book Day - Thursday 5 March
To celebrate World Book Day, we would like the children to create a sandwich board on cardboard about their favourite book. Please bring their boards to school next Thursday and your child can then share why this is their favourite book with their class.
Mrs Rawlings, our lovely librarian, will then display some of the boards in the library for the rest of the school to enjoy.

Captains Club
Please make sure that you have booked your child onto all the sessions you will need this half term.  Bookings do not automatically roll over from last half term.  If you child is booked on late they may not receive a hot snack. The cut off for booking a space is 48hrs before the club starts.  If you require a late/Ad hoc booking then please email admin@thomascoram.herts.sch.uk or phone the office on 01442 866757.
