Important Information for w/c 23rd February 2026                               

Please can I remind people to park sensibly next term - do not just abandon cars in the middle of the turning circle and please try not to jump the grass verge. May I also remind you, in the morning, children in Year 3 and 4 can walk down on their own to their classroom to help build their independence ready for year 5 and 6. I am always on the gate should their be any issues with the children.  

This Week
We have had a busy last week of term with parents evening, children's mental health week and safer internet week. We also had MG Leonard come in on Monday, who was a fantastic speaker and kept the children captivated for over an hour. I really do recommend getting one of her books as they sound excellent! Thank you to all the parents who offered to come in this week and talk to the children about their jobs and how the internet helps them. It is great to enlighten the children on different careers and the use of the internet. They also looked at E-Safety when using the internet - particularly AI and fake content and how children should trust their instinct - if it doesn't look right, trust your gut and speak to an adult.  This video was shared with children (Video = Pause & Think Online | Common Sense Education. A big thank you as well to everyone who attended parents evening this week, I hope it was useful to you all.  I hope everyone has a wonderful and restful half term and I look forward to welcoming you back on Monday 23rd February. 

On Monday, Rebecca came in to lead worship alongside Madagascar who led us in prayers. We discussed the story of The Parables of the Tenants and the importance of looking after things and showing respect. We also had Finland's class assembly today and it was great to hear of all the learning the children have been doing. Eco council met with Mrs Roberts this week and thought a good piece of half term homework would be to design a poster reminding everyone to switch off lights. Please bring it in on the first Monday back, if your child chooses to do it.

Big Family Quiz for GOSH

A wonderful family afternoon filled with fun, surprises, and community spirit — all while raising money for an amazing charity.

 Important Information

Any child at TC can enter and no names are required to be submitted before the race. Thomas Coram children must wear their school PE top as their top layer, with warm layers beneath as it tends to be cold waiting around. The children are allowed to run in trainers or football boots. Whether you have been a part of this event before or are new to TC or running , there is no experience needed, just the willingness to run around a school field on a Saturday morning! Every child who enters will receive three house points! 

Below are the race times. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your child's event - all children must be accompanied by an adult for their time there and can leave immediately after if they wish. Mrs Thomson and Mrs Daily will be there for the whole morning to greet the TC children and to take in their place cards which they are handed at the end of the race. Medals are awarded for the first 3 individual finishers, plus team medals for the school that has the first three finishers over the line fastest.
