Today we celebrated our wonderful stars of the week. Well done to everyone this term showing kindness, resilience, respect and thankfulness.
Important Information
Play Equipment
On Monday I sent an email regarding the moving of playgrounds and bringing in play equipment. This will start from Monday 24th February and we are really excited to see how this works. If you are unsure of any play equipment please do ask me on the gate when we return. Some items mentioned were: Yo Yo's, Rubix Cubes, Hola Hoops, Small balls - which are not leather or hard, Tennis Balls, Skipping ropes. As a reminder these are the children's responsibility and if it something really valued that they do not want to take the risk of losing or breaking, then it should not be brought into school.
Eco Council
DBC is holding a consultation on local cycling and walking infrastructure. Eco Council would like to make sure you have your say. More information and a QR can be found here.
To celebrate World Book Day this year, all pupils are invited to come into school in their cosiest pyjamas with a copy of their favourite bedtime book!
Our World Book Day competition this year is to create a 'book in a box'. Using an old shoe box or cereal box, children can recreate a scene or setting from their favourite book - we will be looking for bright and colourful creations that we can put on display in the library (we've attached some examples to inspire you!). There will be a prize for the most exciting entry for each year group and we're looking forward to seeing all your creations!
