Oracy  Homework

How does the picture make you feel What do you think the rabbit is doing? Can the rabbit perform tricks do you think?

This week
This week we have had assessment week, whereby all of the children showed great resilience and strength. The week can sometimes be stressful for children, but we are keen to ensure it is as normal as possible and that there is not pressure on the children. The assessments are designed for us to be able to see the progress the children have made and to address any gaps and misconceptions. The papers will be coming home with the children within the next two weeks and they can then be discussed during parent consultation evenings with the class teacher. Can I please remind parents that lots of different fidget toys and small cuddly toys should not be coming in to school. Mrs Thomson gives discrete fidget toys to those children that need it, but we currently have an abundance of different things in the classrooms and it is quite distracting for the children in the classes. Please see the weekly oracy homework above, that you could discuss with your children at home to get those conversations started. I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

Worship
On Monday, Father Stuart led worship and looked at the Parable of Lazarus linking in with our value of Kindness and Thankfulness. Today we celebrated all of the children demonstrating our values.

Big Family Quiz for GOSH
As some of you may already know, two parents from Victoria and TC, Dan Larner and Sarah Bayley, are raising as much  money as possible for Great Ormond Street Hospital. They were deeply moved by the incredible care, support, and dedication the hospital showed to one of our families and wanted to say a BIG thank you. Come and join us for a wonderful family afternoon filled with fun, surprises, and community spirit - all while raising money for an amazing charity.
